I've been cheating on vintage fashion!

I am so ashamed! I've been wearing modern clothing behind my vintage wardrobe's back. I'm not sure why this is but I'm definitely the kind of girl who goes through phases so we'll see how this all pans out.

I'm dreaming of a white summer.

The last yard sale I went to was an absolute gold mine in the eyes of this vintage addict.  I walked away with so many "new" garments that I felt a little guilty for being so lucky.  Coincidentally, two of my most prized purchases happen to be dainty and delicate white dresses.  I'm literally obsessed with them and it takes everything within my power to abstain from wearing them every day for the rest of the summer.

Let there be white.

I just bought this amazing vintage linen dress at yet another yard sale on Sunday. The pictures didn't come out as well as I would have liked but I take all of my pictures by myself using a tripod. I really try my best but sometimes I have to run so fast into the shot that the details are sometimes lost. The crochet work on this dress is immaculate. The back is my favorite because there are white buttons going down the center which unfortunately you can't see here. I wore this frock yesterday and it was perfect for the hot weather. It was short, light, and breezy and I loved prancing around in it.

So as I mentioned yesterday, I started sewing a dress from a vintage Vogue pattern that I had found.  I made it my goal to finish it in time to post pictures of me wearing it today.  And guess what?  I finished it!  The fit is a little strange but overall I think it came out pretty well.  Here is the dress styled three different ways:
