Si belle!

I just caught a glimpse of Oscar de la Renta's resort collection for 2011 and here's what inspired me:

I absolutely adore the first look and I love the cropped jackets and little hats. These pieces definitely have a vintage feel to them while still maintaining a modern spirit.

Wishful Thinking

Marc Jacobs' fall collection left me drooling and wishing I had married an investment banker from the upper East side.  (Just kidding!)  From the finely tailored coats, ( I hope he didn't use real fur), to the flowing, delicate dresses, it was a delicious mix of colors and textures.

SCCC Apparel Design Program Final Show- 2010

On the Runway: Dennis Basso Spring 2010

Finally! A runway show that actually puts emphasis on femininity!!! It's been so long since I've seen something so right and so beautiful walk down a cat walk.  It seems to me that designers are so busy trying to push the envelope that they've stopped trying to make clothes that celebrate the female mystique. Hooray for Dennis Basso and his gorgeous color palette, delicate lace details, and gorgeous cuts. Now if only I had thousands and thousands of dollars......

He will always be my favorite.

Alexander McQueen was one of the reasons that I ever wanted to become a designer.  His genius will live on forever and ever and his designs  will never cease to amaze and inspire me.  These three gowns are from his last Fall 2010 collection and reflect so much of fashion's history.  They look like period pieces only with a McQueen twist.  To see more of his collections go here.
