I went walking with a ghost.

Last night was the greatest night of my whole life.  I went on the Haunted Pike Place Market Tour and was titillated by Seattle's dark and eccentric history.  Our Journey began outside the Alibi Room at the infamous Gum Wall.  I learned that it is the second most germ filled place in the world.  Guess which location wins first place?  Ireland!  At the Blarney Stone!  Even though the Gum Wall is completely gross it still boasts some beautiful colors and interesting aromas.

The best part of the tour for me was seeing my fabulous city of Seattle, and more specifically, the Post Alley at night up close and personal.  The lights, the architecture, the brick roads, oh my!!!  Here is an untapped resource I found while while trekking up a particularly narrow and steep, little lane.

This was a ghost tour so there were a couple of venues that were actually very creepy.  We stopped in front of a gorgeous, old brick building which we were told was the local morgue and crematorium during the 1800's.  Many families at that time were plagued with the Spanish Influenza.  If one of their children was stricken with this affliction they had no other choice but to kill them or cast them out to be quarantined so that they would not infect any of the other members of their family.  The morgue was home to these castaways and still is.  They say you can hear children running down the halls and stairs of this building.  I saw these stairs and they totally gave me the Hebee Gebees.

If you ever find yourself in the fair city of Seattle, I highly recommend this tour.  It was extremely informative and made me feel like a really good person because some of the people that used to inhabit this town had extremely questionable consciouses.
